Join us for a walking tour of historic downtown Cuyahoga Falls.  We will tour the revitalized buildings in the downtown business district.  During our tour, students will see first-hand how revitalization and adaptive re-use efforts have create walkability, economic growth with increase in 'foot traffic' and encouraged community members to explore the downtown business district.  We will also learn about the history of these buildings, about the process to preserve preserved historic aspects of the structures and how the historic tax credits are used for revitalization projects.  1 hour of c.e. credit requested.  Instructed by John Chlebina.  One hour networking at our final destination.

John Chlebina
John Chlebina is a real estate broker and President of Commonwealth Properties and has been licensed in the real estate business since 1978.  John is a member of the Akron Cleveland Association of REALTORS and a former President of the Akron Area Board of REALTORS.  He served many years on the Board of Directors and is currently serving on the Akron Cleveland Association of REALTORS Commercial Forum.  He is also a member of the Home Builders Association serving Portage & Summit Counties and a member of its Developer's Committee.  John has been a Trustee of the Downtown Cuyahoga Falls Partnership since its inception in 2017.


John Chlebina owns and manages a wide selection of residential and commercial properties.  John is the proud owners of 15 commercial buildings in the Historic District of Downtown Cuyahoga Falls.  John is experienced in revitalization and adaptive reuse of historic buildings and in the application of the historic tax credit program and the local historic renovation guidelines that may apply.  With this experience John is able to assist potential tenants with their end-use goals.
