Scott Shields, CPA is a 1981 graduate of the University of Akron with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Accounting.  Upon graduation, Scott went to work for PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Chicago, IL office.  His list of clients included Oscar Meyer, US Steel, Marathon Oil and Burson-Marsteller Advertising Agency.  While working for Price Waterhouse he earned his CPA certificate in 1983 through the University of Illinois at Urbana.  While gaining excellent experience and knowledge in Chicago, Scott found a need in his hometown of Akron, Ohio for an accounting firm that would tailor its services to small closely held organizations and family businesses.  In September of 1990, Scott formed that accounting organization with little more than an idea, calculator and a pad of paper at his kitchen table.  In a few short years the organization has grown to represent clients in 37 different states and 3 counties.
