"Let's meet on Google Meet" or "Just What's App me:" It sounds harmless but for today's real estate professionals, it might be a scam.  But how can a licensee determine the validity of all these online leads?

In this eye-opening course, licensees will learn how scammers use google searches, fake profiles, and stolen identities to impersonate licensed real estate agents and qualified buyers to possibly steal money from unsuspecting agents.  Often, the agent being impersonated has no idea the scam is happening until angry calls, damaged reputations, or broker complaints appear.

This class breaks down how "Google Me" scams work, why you shouldn't jump on Google Meet, why real estate agents are prime targets, and the subtle warning signs most people miss.  Participants will discover how scammers build trust online, how consumers are misled by legitimate search results, and how quickly a professional reputation can be put at risk.

Licensees will learn the warning signs and red flags of a potential scam and actionable steps to protect their digital presence, prevent impersonation, educate clients, and respond effectively if their name or brand is misused.  This is a can't-miss class.

Lunchtime Success format.  Lunch available at 11:30.  Class begins promptly at 12:00 noon concludes at 1:00 p.m.  1-hour c.e. credit requested.  Instructor: Amanda Pohlman. Please email tcovell@akronclevelandrealtors.com with dietary restrictions.
